Truphone calls for new HQ

The British telecoms company backed by the owner of Chelsea Football Club, Truphone, has confirmed it is looking to expand in London with a new headquarters.

Truphone is looking to exit three City buildings, and consolidate into one in the core City or City fringe. It is look for a minimum of 50,000 sq ft, but could also explore options for up to 80,000 sq ft.

A spokesman for the global mobile network operator said; “We are planning for expansion, and expect to outgrow our current offices in 2014.

“We have a final shortlist of agents that will help us identify a high-quality office space close to our current location in the City of London.”

The company, which has Roman Abramovich among its shareholders, is currently based in relatively smaller office suites at three properties, including 4 Lombard Street and 4 Royal Mint Court , both EC3.
