A joint venture between Sterling Property Ventures and M&G Real Estate is to submit a planning application next month for a 152,000 sq ft office block in Birmingham’s central business district.
Plans for the long-awaited redevelopment of an area known as “the strip” include demolishing the existing outdated 1960s office block that sits next to the Holiday Inn hotel on Snow Hill Queensway.
An Aedas-designed 15-storey office block – to be called Lumina – is planned, and a detailed planning application will be submitted in mid-September.
Subject to consent, work could start on site late next year with completion in 2015-16.
