London return for BCSC confence?

BCSC 2013: BCSC chief executive Michael Green said today that the he was happy for the conference to return to London next year, albeit with lessons learned.

Speaking on the show’s final day, Green however confirmed that the show would return to the regions, with Manchester the most likely venue.

Green admitted that among the lessons learned was the lack of the social side of the show as it is in London. He also said BCSC wanted to build on the connection between the exhibition and net working areas.

On the decision to bring the show to London, Green said: “We listened to the mentors and the feedback last year and the it was ‘please don’t go to Glasgow’… because it was 400 miles from London.

“We had always said ‘never’ to bringing [BCSC] to London… [we wanted] to get the majority of people out of the capital. But, this year it was right; things have changed. [But] the industry said bring it to London, and we have come.”

Green added: “When the time is right, we will take this conference back out.”
