The sale of ITV’s 14-acre Granada campus in Manchester has collapsed for the second time this year.
Inter Ikea subsidiary Landprop is understood to have failed to agree terms with the broadcaster four months after placing it under offer.
Landprop emerged as a frontrunner to buy the site in the spring only after a £25m deal to sell the campus to GenR8 collapsed in March.
The site’s development plan includes up to 1.2m sq ft of offices, 200,000 sq ft of retail and 895 homes.
Bion Group also bid for the opportunity when it first came to market.
ITV is aiming to sell the site and relocate to MediaCityUK at Salford Quays. The broadcaster came close to a £100m deal to sell to hotelier Surinder Arora in 2008, but the sale fell through in the face of the credit crunch.
Inter Ikea and ITV declined to comment.
