The owners of the historic Cains Brewery in Liverpool have unveiled plans to restore the Grade II listed site into a 1m sq ft mixed-use scheme.
The brewery closed in June 2013 with debts of more than £8m, but plans have now been submitted to Liverpool city council for a 725-home scheme, including a four-screen cinema, 94-bedroom hotel and supermarket.
The Brewery Village would also include a new brewery with a sky bar. If consent is granted, it is hoped the brewery would be up and running in 2014.
Turley Associates and Colliers International are advising.
