Amazon is opening “Amazon Logistics”, a series of regional distribution depots in a further blow to traditional high-street shops.
It has launched seven 50,000 sq ft “fulfilment centres” so far and four more “mini” centres will debut next year in the North West, South West, the Midlands and Yorkshire in partnership with smaller companies that transport products to customers.
