Knight Frank retains Sheffield crown

Knight Frank has retained its top spot in Estates Gazette’s Sheffield office agents league table.

The national agent managed to retain its market share, signing for more than half the space disposed of in the city. It signed tenants for 125,500 sq ft of space in 15 deals.

Crosthwaite Commercial shot up the leaderboard, from seventh last year to second place this year. The three-year-old local firm penned just three deals but managed to bag one of the city’s largest deals of the year, the 39,000 sq ft sale of Weston House; trebling its market share.

Overall, the market struggled in the year to the end of July 2013. Disposals dropped by more than a quarter on the same period last year, with the number of deals down by a third. Market share among last year’s top five dropped from 26% to 16%.
