Events marketing firm Freeman has signed up for a 170,500 sq ft purpose-built facility at Prologis Park Ryton, in the West Midlands.
The lease agreement is part of Freeman’s growth strategy and follows from its acquisition of UK-based SO Group this year.
Prologis already has detailed permission for the site, so work can start immediately.
The building will be the third under construction at Ryton, with a 165,200 sq ft unit for Hi Logistics and a 225,000 sq ft speculative unit already underway.
Freeman commercial director Justin Phillips said: “We are working with a rapidly increasing number of customers in the UK and continental Europe on both trade shows and corporate events, so it is essential that we have a modern, energy-efficient facility at the heart of the motorway network where we can co-ordinate our operations.”
Prologis managing director Andrew Griffiths said: “Prologis has a strong relationship with Freeman in North America and we are delighted to be extending our relationship with them to the UK.”
North Rae Sanders, Jones Lang LaSalle and Gerald Eve acted for Prologis. Harris Lamb represented Freeman.
