Engineering company Bechtel Corporation has signed for 75,000 sq ft of offices at Wainbridge’s FC200 development in west London.
Bechtel has agreed a 10-year lease for over three floors at the Park Royal 160,000 sq ft office building.
It is paying £28.50 per sq ft and will relocate to the scheme in June 2014.
The deal comes after Bechtel appointed Andrews Denford & Boyd in June 2012 to find it a new HQ of up to 100,000 sq ft . It will relocate from Legal & General Property’s 170,000 sq ft Bechtel House in Hammersmith, W6, where it occupies the bulk of the property.
Rob Rackind, principal and co-founder, Wainbridge, said: “This is one of the largest lettings in the West London corridor this year and Bechtel’s decision to relocate to FC200 reflects the very high quality of the space on offer at the property, its affordability, and the ease of access via nearby transport links.”
The building was bought on behalf of Wainbridge Global FC200 Limited in September 2011 for £16m. Morgan Stanley AIP Phoenix Global Real Estate Secondaries 2009 is a co-investor with Wainbridge Global Opportunities London.
CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield and Savills are letting agents on FC200.
