Four in at thecentre:MK

Hermes Real Estate Investment Management has agreed four new lettings, totaling more than 11,000 sq ft, are to open at thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes.


Mattress and pillow brand Tempur is to open a 2,500 sq ft shop on a 10-year lease on Midsummer Arcade, adjacent to Leslie Davies and John Lewis.


Dr Martens has signed for a 2,000 sq ft store on 10-year lease.


Hamburger restaurant group Byron has taken a new 4,500 sq ft restaurant on a 25-year lease.


The new signings come after CBRE, MMX Retail and Lunson Mitchenall were appointed this autumn to help attract more premium brands to thecentre:mk.


Gavin Murray, asset manager at Hermes Real Estate Investment Management, said: “Momentum at thecentre:mk is gathering pace as awareness of the centre’s dominance of such a strong catchment continues to grow. To have secured only the second Tempur in the UK is a great reflection of the industry’s increasing focus on thecentre:mk. The arrival of Byron is also a key milestone, with the brand’s quality complementing the existing critical mass of premium dining we have recently introduced.”


CBRE and MMX Retail acted for thecentre:mk; Bryant Champion Long represented Tempur; Space Retail acted for Dr Martens; RSA for Byron.
