Terrace Hill projects approved

Terrace Hill has won permission for a number of developments, including a new 80,000 sq ft Sainsbury’s food store in Middlesborough.

Alongside the new store, an application for a KFC and a Marston’s restaurant at Gateway Middlehaven has been approved, as has a third application to create nine retail and leisure units and an 80-bed hotel on the existing Sainsbury’s site.

The applications are now subject to referral to the secretary of state for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles.
