UK toy retailer Hamleys is looking to open at least 35 stores in the US in the next few years, mostly in airports.
Hamleys previously opened a store in New York in 1987, but it closed within a year.
The new stores will range in size from 10,760 sq ft flagship sites to 1,760 sq ft airport-sized units.
A Hamleys spokesman said: “We are growing our international markets through franchising, a proven successful model.”
