Insurance brokerage firm Arthur J Gallagher (UK) has signed the largest office deal in Bournemouth since 2008.
The company has signed a 10-year lease with a five-year break option for the 23,429 sq ft third floor of 100 Holdenhurst Road , and will pay close to £11 per sq ft for the space.
It is the biggest individual office transaction in the past five years in the South Coast town, according to Jones Lang LaSalle, which advised the private landlord on the deal.
Jason Webb, director of national office agency in JLL’s Southampton office, said: “This is a very important letting for the Bournemouth office market, but it was no surprise that AJG decided to take space in 100 Holdenhurst Road, as this was the only space on the market able to offer them floor plates of this size.”
