Kier has been chosen by the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation to develop the 215,280 sq ft St Peter’s Waterside development.
The brownfield land, in the centre of Northampton, has recently undergone demolition work that saw a gasholder and ten houses cleared.
The site, between the river Nene and St Peter’s Way, will sit opposite a £20m railway station, opening in 2014, and adjacent to a new Innovation Centre.
Kier property director Pip Prongué said: “We are delighted to have been selected as preferred developer for this important regeneration project in Northampton.
