Louis Vuitton UK has been confirmed as the latest office tenant at King’s Cross Central, N1, as tipped by Estates Gazette in October , leaving the West End for north London.
The UK subsidiary of the French fashion house, advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs, is relocating from circa 14,000 sq ft at 160 New Bond Street, W1 , to take around 7,000 sq ft at the David Chipperfield Architects-designed One St Pancras Square , on a 10-year lease.
The company would be the first luxury goods business to move to the Argent-led King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership’s 67-acre north London site.
Nick Searl, partner, Argent (King’s Cross) the asset manager at King’s Cross, said: “We have worked hard to create an exciting and varied place that appeals to a broad range of businesses. This agreement is yet another example of the area’s appeal to innovative, creative and globally recognised brands.”
Louis Vuitton has been in negotiations for the deal since October , and joins Google and PRS for Music which have this year signed for headquarters at the site.
It was attracted by the emerging creative credentials of the area – Central Saint Martins School of Arts and Design moved its main campus to King’s Cross in 2011 – and easy access to Paris on the Eurostar from St Pancras International.
DTZ an Savills advised KCCLP. The eight-storey One Pancras Square will complete next year.
