Terrace Hill has been given the go-ahead to transform a 1.9-acre former bus station in Darlington, County Durham, into a £30m leisure scheme.
The scheme, Feethams Leisure, will be anchored by a nine-screen Vue cinema, an 80-bedroom Premier Inn, plus restaurants, bars and shops. Restaurant chains Nando’s and Prezzo have already been secured.
Chief executive Philip Leech said: “We are working on a number of planned leisure development schemes across the UK. Leisure is a sector with strong occupier demand and with regional economies starting to improve we foresee increasing opportunities for us in this area. Our network of regional offices also gives us unique insight into this market.”
Terrace Hill hopes to start work on the scheme by the middle of next year. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2015.
