Midas tips NewRiver Retail

NewRiver Retail is tipped in the Mail on Sunday’s Midas column which says the shares are yielding more than 5%.

The column says brokers predict a steady rise in rental income and NAV per share. Income is forecast to reach about £16m by 2016 from 12.7m last year. NAV is forecast to rise from 240p to 290p over the same period. Elsewhere, housebuilder Berkeley Group is one of this year’s share tips in The Sunday Times. The writer who tips the shares says the company has a long and almost flawless record of turning London land into cash. The shares climbed 47% last year. The pipeline of prime sites bought at bargain prices, a sophisticated Far Eastern sales machine and a pledge to return £1.7bn over the next decade should underpin the shares the writer says. A Questor Special, in The Sunday Telegraph, focuses on housebuilders, noting that a basket of seven of the UK’s biggest housebuilders held from January to the end of March beat the wider market in 16 out of the last 20 years.
