Plans have been submitted to redevelop a site once owned by Paul Kemsley’s Rock Investment at 30 Marsh Wall , E14, into more than 400 homes.
Proposals put forward by the Jersey-based landlord MW30 to Tower Hamlets council include 410 homes in a 52-storey tower. The residential element will comprise 46 studios, 198 one-bedroom flats, 126 two-bedroom homes and 40 three-bedroom flats.
The 21st Architecture-designed plans for the office site also include 800 sq ft of shops and cafés, 19,200 sq ft of offices, 2,500 sq ft of community use space, and 9,800 sq ft of leisure space.
The 59,400 sq ft building, which was owned by Rock Investment before it went into administration in 2009, was sold to the Jersey-based property investment and development company managed by Appleby Trust last November for £13.7m.
The lease for the existing office use is due to expire in 2016.
