Atrium hires Kardun

Jersey-based retail developer and operator Atrium European Real Estate has appointed Josip Kardun as chief operating officer with effect from 14 February.

Kardun will also act as deputy chief executive officer, joining the group executive management team, reporting to group chief executive officer Rachel Lavine.

The appointment follows the departure of Nils-Christian Hakert as chief operating officer, who is leaving the firm to pursue other business interests.

Kardun also sits on the executive board of ICSC Europe, and joins from ECE Projectmanagement GmbH & Co, where he was chief investment officer and head of M&A.

Lavine said: “Josip has a very impressive track record in the European retail real estate market and I am very pleased to welcome him to the team. His appointment is in line with our strategy of ensuring that Atrium is managed by top-tier real estate professionals at all levels.”
