Renshaw Bay has expanded its real estate finance team with a trio of appointments including former Deutsche Postbank senior manager Darryn Church.
Church, who had been with Deutsche Postbank for eight years, will focus on origination at the independent asset management firm, which was founded by Bill Winters, former co-chief executive of JP Morgan’s investment bank, in 2011.
He will report to partner Martin Farinola and work on loans from the Renshaw Bay Real Estate Finance Fund and the firm’s £350m Guardian Financial Services mandate.
Stuart Thomson, who was an associate director with Savills Capital Advisers, has also started at the firm to focus on underwriting, and Susanna Rock has joined as an analyst from IBRC. They will report to partner Andrew Gordon.
Renshaw Bay is fundraising for its Real Estate Finance Fund ahead of a second close. The pan-European vehicle, which originates whole loans, closed six deals in excess of £250m in the second half of 2013.
