Helical Bar’s £100m war chest
Helical Bar has a further £100m of firepower after completing £82m of acquisitions in the four months to February. A trading update also said the firm also secured £245m of finance for investment and its London development pipeline.
Aberdeen goes Asian
Aberdeen Asset Management is expanding its Asian business with the launch of a new Asian fund of funds to target core property. Separately, it has raised $512m (£308m), including co-investment, for its opportunistic Aberdeen Asia III Property fund of funds.
PIMCO eyes Nama NI portfolio
PIMCO has approached Nama to buy its entire €4bn (£3.3bn) loan portfolio in Northern Ireland. The move by the global asset manager may spark a bidding war for the portfolio. The loans could sell for up to €1bn owing to the large amount of development land they cover.
Green REIT spends €214m
Green REIT has invested €214m (£198m) of equity in the six months since it raised €310m through its dual London and Dublin listings. In its interim results the Irish investor confirmed it had teamed up with PIMCO to buy the €311m Central Park in Dublin.
C&W grab valuation partner
Cushman & Wakefield has poached a BNP Paribas Real Estate director as its new head of portfolio valuation. David Mills has joined the agent as a partner and will work with Rupert Dodson and David Lusher.
