Kittens’ sweet deal at Liverpool One

Candy Kittens, the confectioner co-founded by Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, will be the first brand to open at Liverpool One’s new pop-up space.

The 1,800 sq ft store will open on February 21 for nine days, situated between Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols and John Lewis.

The Liverpool One pop-up will stock the brand’s full range of accessories, gifts and clothing, including Candy Kittens’ exclusive ’Gummy Sweets’.

Candy Kittens was founded in May 2012 by Laing and business partner Ed Williams.

A number of pop-up shops opened at Liverpool ONE last year including Asparagus Patch and The Harvey Nichols Foodmarket, which returned for its third year running.

Erin O’Connor, retail and business development manager at Candy Kittens, said: “As the fashion-focused heart of the city, Liverpool One is perfect for Candy Kittens. We have everything we need; the ideal showcase for Candy Kittens, great neighbours, and a significant captive audience with a love of all things sweet and fashionable. Opening in a dedicated space for pop-ups is a first for us, but I am sure Liverpool One’s idea will catch on. It makes things so much easier for brands that thrive on maximising exposure in a very concentrated period of time.”

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management, Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, added: “Liverpool One has a strong heritage in supporting successful pop-up stores, from fashion designers to a seasonal asparagus store. In fact, 35% of visitors cite Liverpool One’s events and entertainment provided, including pop-ups, as a key reason why they would return.”
