Great Portland Estates has won planning permission for a redevelopment of office-led St Lawrence House, W1.
Westminster city council last night gave the REIT planning permission to partly demolish 26-34 Broadwick Street and 10 Livonia Street, and provide a mixed-use replacement.
Consent is for a Emrys Architects-designed block comprising circa 75,000 sq ft of offices, and shops and restaurant space at ground level.
GPE also secured planning permission for a redevelopment at 78-82 Great Portland Street and 15-23 Riding House Street. It will be an office-to-residential conversion to create 12 flats as part of a land use swap.
Ahead of the decision meeting, a planning committee report said: “The proposals for both sites comply with much of the local planning policy strategy as set out in the city plan.”
Montagu Evans advised on planning.
