Australian developer Westfield has agreed new lettings to TK Maxx and Gymbox at its Stratford City mall.
TK Maxx will open a 17,700 sq ft store and Gymbox has agreed to take 19,400 sq ft at Westfield Stratford City.
Westfield Stratford City generated retail sales of £973m in 2013 which is up 4.1% year-on-year.
It has recently submitted a planning application to cover the outdoor pedestrian area, The Street, with a glass roof.
Bill Giouroukos, director of operations at Westfield said: “The addition of TK Maxx and Gymbox will enhance the already great mix of established and new brands available to shoppers. Westfield Stratford City continues to deliver strong retail sales, high footfall which is set to increase with the opening of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and UK retail firsts.”
Richard Hilton of Gymbox added: “We are very pleased to open our second Gymbox at a Westfield shopping centre. Gymbox in Westfield London is performing well and we expect our new Stratford location to prove popular with the growing residential and office community in East London.”
