Paul Rixon has quit his role as head of BNP Paribas Real Estate’s Birmingham office to join niche investment practice MK2 Real Estate.
BNP PRE senior director Rixon, who heads the Birmingham office and the South West region, including offices in Bristol and Southampton, resigned from the firm this week.
He was promoted to head the Birmingham office in 2009, replacing Tim Suffield, and has been a senior director with the firm since 2006. Prior to that, Rixon worked at GBR Phoenix Beard and Bruton Knowles.
He will join fledgling real estate investment agent MK2 as an equity partner to boost the firm’s asset management business, working alongside founders Mark Rooke and Mark Johnson, who set up the firm 18 months ago.
Rixon and Rooke previously worked together at BNP PRE when Rooke joined the firm in 2008 after leaving CBRE.
Rixon is now finalising his exit strategy with the firm.
