Brands get on their soapbox at Completely Retail


 


Old Billingsgate Market was the backdrop for this week’s Completely Retail show, which attracted more than 1,600 delegates.


Now in its third year, the retail show, organised by Completely Group, is held twice a year – in April and September. Growing numbers – a 40% increase year-on-year – saw this week’s event move to Old Billingsgate, EC3, from Spitalfields, E1.


A new addition to the event this year was the Soapbox, which let 20 emerging and growing brands have three minutes to pitch to 200 landlords and agents about their business and ideal property requirements.


Dom Millar, managing director of Completely Group, said: “The Soapbox gives emerging brands a voice and the opportunity to reach a lot of the right people in a short space of time.


“In a climate when time is precious and marketing budgets are highly scrutinised, it is important to make it easy for the right people to get together and do deals.”
