A vote by the City of London on the controversial renaming of the Heron Tower to Salesforce Tower has been delayed.
The City’s planning committee was due to decide today on whether Gerald Ronson’s Heron International could rename the 444,000 sq ft EC2 skyscraper.
The committee has decided more deliberation time is needed, and delayed a decision until August.
Permission for a name change is not typically required from the City corporation, but the move follows complaints from a number of tenants in the block.
The property was rebranded in May after Salesforce signed for an additional 50,000 sq ft of offices, taking its total occupation to 76,000 sq ft, or around 17% of the building.
