Gatwick airport’s second runway plans will ensure that homes earmarked for demolition are bought at 25 percent above market value.
The £7.8bn runway will include £131m to buy the 163 homes, along with £46.5m toward the construction 9,300 homes needed to support expansion. A further £45m will be used to annually compensate 15,000 affected by the noise.
