Rob Seabrook, head of hotel transactions at Savills, has quit the firm.
He has been appointed as head of UK brokerage at CBRE Hotels.
Seabrook spent four years at Savills, prior to which he was at JLL Hotels for 20 years, latterly as managing director.
In his new role Seabrook will oversee all transaction and advisory assignments in the UK market for CBRE.
The high-profile appointment is one of a string of recent moves by CBRE to strengthen its hotels business in Europe.
Recent appointments include Philipp Kraneis in Germany, Jan Steinback in the Netherlands, Alexis Boudrand in France, Julian Kemp in the UK and Joe Stather, who has just joined as a dedicated EMEA intelligence and information manager. Keith Lindsay, chief operating officer at CBRE Hotels, said: “Rob is a proven market leader in the hotels space and is a valuable addition to our hotels team. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and client contacts which will significantly strengthen our service offering in the UK market and the wider business.”
In response to the increasing activity levels in the buoyant Irish hotels sector Paul Collins will be returning to CBRE’s Dublin office to head the hotels and licensed team.
John Hughes will continue in his role as head of transactions, Ireland.
