Bahraini investor Amwaj Property has won consent to redevelop a former Paddington school into a £230m housing scheme.
The Assael Architecture-designed phase two of North Wharf Gardens at the former North Westminster Community School, W2, comprises 335 flats plus offices, shops and a gym.
Amwaj secured planning permission in June 2013 for the 150-flat first phase, which was sold to Taylor Wimpey Central London in April for about £40m. Amwaj is a subsidiary of Bahrain investment group Meritas, which bought the £121m site from Westminster council in 2011.
Construction will start later this year, with completion targeted for 2017. DP9 advised on planning.
