The former home of Victorian prime minister Benjamin Disraeli in London’s Bloomsbury has been sold.
South Bloom has bought 4,900 sq ft office building 6 Bloomsbury Square, WC1, with vacant possession for £5.8m.
It was purchased from the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
Damien Field, partner at Robert Irving Burns, which advised the vendor, said: “The coming-of-age of nearby King’s Cross has had a positive impact on the Bloomsbury market, with both businesses and new residents flocking to the area. This helped generate a lot of interest in the property, helped also by its ‘blue plaque’ status, which ultimately resulted in a sale price significantly in excess of the original guide price.”
The buyer was not represented.
