Luxury brand owner Richemont is on the cusp of securing a new West End HQ at Great Portland Estates’ Walmar House, W1.
The Swiss company, which owns brands including Cartier, is under offer to lease the entire 37,300 sq ft of office space at the building at 288-300 Regent Street. A rent of close to £70 sq ft has been agreed.
GPE is currently undertaking a refurbishment of the building, which is expected to complete by the end of the year. It took full control of the building in 2012 after agreeing a £35m deal to buy the leasehold property from the Great Capital Partnership, its 50:50 joint venture with Capital and Counties. CBRE and Savills are advising GPE; Richemont is not represented.
