Part detailed and part outline plans for a £260m mixed-use health campus in Watford, Hertfordshire, have been approved.
The consent allows Kier Property, Watford borough council and West Hertfordshire NHS Trust to go ahead with proposals for the 65-acre site on the Cardiff Road industrial estate, including 750 homes.
The scheme includes shops, 37,500 sq ft of offices and new hospital facilities, which will be developed on disused land around the existing hospital and nearby football stadium.
The TP Bennett-designed campus will be delivered over the next 20 years, with construction starting in early 2015.
