Balfour Beatty is believed to have requested an extra £50m to complete the conversion of the London Olympic stadium for use by West Ham United.
Balfour has made the request to E20 Stadium, which is a partnership between the London Legacy Development Corporation and Newham council.
The company won a £154m contract to convert the stadium for use by a football club.
