London deputy mayor Sir Edward Lister and regeneration guru Tom Bloxham will be the guest speakers at the LSH Ski Challenge Business Forum 2015.
The pair will address hundreds of property skiiers at the annual challenge and networking event, which is supported by Estates Gazette and returns to Courmayeur in the Italian Alps from 29 to 31 January 2015.
Lister will draw on his three-plus years as London’s deputy planning chief and on his previous stint as leader of Wandsworth council. Bloxham, who founded Urban Splash, will shed light on the regional recovery.
Ezra Nahome, chief executive of Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “The Ski Challenge and Business Forum will provide an invaluable insight into how the economic recovery is shaping the UK commercial property market.”
The LSH Ski Challenge, sponsored by Wedlake Bell and DW, is now into its 28th year and will see commercial property owners, occupiers, fund managers and managing directors descend on the Alps
and bring their networking, skiing and snowboarding skills to bear.

Agents take on landlords in swim duel
An agents versus landlords swimming race across the English Channel will take place in September 2015. The 21-mile relay event, supported by EG, will start from Shakespeare Beach in Dover and finish at Cap Gris Nez in France. Each swimmer will be in the water for one hour. Representatives from agents CBRE, Knight Frank, Tuckerman, Farebrother and BDG Sparkes Porter, and landlords Land Securities, Schroders, F&C REIT, Argent and Mountgrange have already signed up. The challenge will raise money for charity. Keep an eye out in EG for further details.
Brothers kayak the English Channel
Property brothers Jamie and Jonny Levy have kayaked the English Channel in a mammoth charity effort. The partners at London agent Fidens completed the six-hour, 25-mile row from Dungeness on the Kent coast to Boulogne in France, with five friends, each in their own kayak and protected by safety boats. Jamie said: “Before we came up with the idea we didn’t have a clue even how to get into a kayak, let alone do any paddling. It has been a steep learning curve.” The kayakers raised money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
