Primark secures first Cornwall shop

Lemon Quay Cornwall 570p

Primark has signed a 20-year lease with Schroder UK Property Fund to build a flagship 50,000 sq ft store at Lemon Quay, Truro, Cornwall.

In order to accommodate the new store a number of smaller shops, including O2 and HMV, will be relocated.

Harry Pickering, investment manager for Schroder UK Property Fund, said: “Having acquired Lemon Quay less than a year ago, our proactive asset management strategy has enabled us to secure a major retailer, which will significantly boost Truro city centre’s retail provision.”

CBRE and Scott Burridge acted for the landlord.
