Perella Weinberg Real Estate is providing The Student Hotel with €150m (£118m) to back its expansion into the UK.
The Amsterdam-headquartered student accommodation group will use the capital to develop residences in Brighton, Edinburgh and London alongside other large European cities.
Founded by Scottish businessman Charlie McGregor, the firm operates four properties in the Benelux region. It will operate a total of 2,200 rooms across Europe by 2015 and aims to expand that to 10,000 by 2020.
The group has previously received backing from another private equity giant, Carlyle.
