ASR November totals dip after big September

Andrew-Scott-Robertson-THUMBAndrew Scott Robertson’s latest auction raised just £11.7m, its lowest total so far this year.

Of 59 lots offered, 47 sold, reflecting an 80% success rate.

The sale – which follows the firm’s biggest sale in September – brings its total raised for the year so far to £81m, with an average success rate of 80%.

It means ASR will have to significantly outperform its 2014 average of £13.5m per auction at its final sale of the year on
15 December if it wants to
top 2013’s total receipts of £96m.

One of the top lots was a freehold three-storey house in West Hampstead, NW6, offered on behalf of an executor with a guide price of £850,000. It sold for £1.3m to a property company.

ASR’s previous auction, on
22 September, raised £17.2m with a 90% success rate, and bringing the average sale total to £13.5m.

Auctioneer Robin Cripp said: “We have had a tremendous response so far this year, and the prices have been amazing.”

The auction took place at the Hotel Russell, W1, on 3  November.
