US commercial property hits high

US commercial property prices have hit a new record high, surpassing the heights reached in the height of the credit bubble by 0.2%.

The values have been helped by years of low interest rates and intense competition between lenders.

While commercial property, which fell in value by 40% in the crash, has recovered all of its value and more, residential values are still only at 55% of the previous peak.
