Mirror, Mirror on the move

Trinity Mirror is considering plans to move its headquarters from Canary Wharf, signalling an end to what had become a second Fleet Street.

Trinity is now the last newspaper in Canary Wharf. The lease for its 90,000q ft expires in 2018 and the group is looking at its options, which include relocating to the Stratford Quarter next to the Olympic Park.

The newspaper group was one of the first tenants to move to One Canada Square in the 1990s, alongside the Telegraph Group and follow by The Independent, lured by cheap rents and rental inducements offered by the developer Olympia & York.
