FINANCE: Miami-based private equity firm HIG Capital has hired Evans Randall’s Simon Laker as principal and head of European asset management.
Laker will join HIG Capital’s London office after five years at Evans Randall. He has also held positions at F&C REIT and Cushman & Wakefield.
HIG focuses on opportunistic and value-add investments, and has around €13bn (£10.3bn) of equity capital under management globally. The company has completed 11 transactions over the past two years in Europe in both debt and equity.
