Auctions round-up: 6 December

Auction House London has added six lots to its 10 December catalogue.

These include a development site in Croydon, south London, guided at £137,000; a six-bedroom house in Chobham, Surrey, guided at £1.6m; and a pair of four-bedroom detached houses in Wimbledon, SW19, guided at £1.9m and £1.5m respectively.

The auction will take place at the Everyman Cinema, NW3.


Osborne King hits £3.7m

Irish auctioneer Osborne King raised £3.7m at its 28 November sale, selling 99% of the catalogue.

All but one of the 53 lots sold, with eight selling prior.

The top lot was a multi-storey car park and one-bedroom flat on a 0.3-acre site in Derry, which sold for £365,000.

The auction took place at the Holiday Inn in Belfast.


John Francis raises £2.5m

John Francis Auctions raised a total of £2.5m over its two-day sale on 27-28 November.

The first auction, at the Ivy Bush Royal in Carmarthen, raised £1.2m with an 83% success rate.

The second took place at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea and raised £1.3m off a 93% success rate. 


£2.2m for Country Property

Country Property raised £2.2m at its 26 November auction at the Doubletree by Hilton, Lincoln.

Of the 27 lots offered, 18 sold, reflecting a 67% success rate. A detached four-bedroom house in Lincoln sold for £255,000.

The next Country Property auction will take place on 4 March 2015.


Final 2014 sale at Barnett Ross

Some 46 lots will be offered at the final Barnett Ross auction of the year on 16 December at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, W1.

The commercial and residential lots on offer include six ground-floor shops and six self-contained flats in Edmonton, N9, guided at £650,000.
