Taiwanese insurer Fubon Life has secured board approval to buy Bow Bells House, EC4, for £197.2m.
In a Taiwanese stock exchange announcement, the company said it would pay £9.25m on signing the special purchase agreement with Global Property Finance – a private Russian controlled SPV – with the balance due on closing.
Aberdeen Asset Management and Bank of Ireland are the principal tenants in the c140,000 sq ft building at 1 Bread Street.
Bow Bells House is the Fubon’s second UK real estate purchase, following last month’s £138.8m acquisition of One Carter Lane, EC4.
