Abu Dhabi Financial Group LLC has bought New Scotland Yard, the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police.
The Abu Dhabi firm bought the site for £370 million, £120 million above the original asking price, and plans to build luxury homes on the site.
The Met will move to a smaller site on Victoria Embankment. It will use the proceeds from the sale to help pay down a £500 million shortfall in its finances.
