Australia adds jobs
The number of people in employment in Australia rose by 42,700 in November, the most since March 2012, data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed.
The increase was a result of more women taking up part-time jobs, as well as a rise in the number of men in full-time employment.
The unemployment rate edged up to 6.3%, however, as more people entered the labour force. The participation rate increased by 0.1 percentage point, to 64.7%.
