Martin Ratchford, group finance director at residential specialist Mount Anvil, has left the company just six months after his appointment was announced. Ratchford was appointed to the role in June. He previously held senior positions at British Land and Unite. The developer is now seeking a replacement.

Elizabeth House re-approved

Chelsfield and London & Regional have secured a
new planning consent for Elizabeth House, SE1. The Sir David Chipperfield-designed, 1.4m sq ft scheme was previously approved in 2012 but the developers chose to resubmit plans after intense opposition and a legal challenge from Westminster city council and Unesco. The scheme includes 142 flats and around 950,0000 sq ft of offices in two buildings of 29 and 11 storeys.

Boris approves Wood Wharf

Mayor of London Boris Johnson has approved plans to develop 3,610 homes at Wood Wharf, E14. The 33.6-acre scheme represents Canary Wharf Group’s next major phase of development, which also includes plans for offices, hotels and shops on the site.

DTZ loses West End director

A West End director at DTZ is leaving the company to join a rival agent. Ben Blinston-Jones will join Allsop in 2015, working with the West End team. He has spent 11 years at DTZ specialising in sourcing and directing overseas capital into the London market.

Stanhope retunes BBC plans

Stanhope’s revised plans for the iconic BBC Television Centre site have been approved by the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The new plans include a new Soho House club, a reduction in residential use at the scheme and a significant increase in the volume of office space.
