Privately owned builder Countryside is planning to double the number of homes it builds over a five-year period.
Countryside is looking to build 4,000 homes, priced at between
£250,000 and £500,000, a year. In the year ended September, the builder constructed 2,034 units.
Countryside is primarily active in London, the Southeast and the Northwest. Its latest move, which would significantly boost its profile as a builder, comes after the company in summer appointed advisors to look into a possible initial public offering.
