China has revised upward its estimate of 2013 gross domestic product by 3.4%, or $308.8 billion, according to the details of its latest economic census.
The country conducts an economic census every five years or so. Some 10 million businesses and 60 million enterprises were visited as part of the latest initiative, the official Xinhua News Agency said. The previous census, in 2008, revised GPD 4.4% higher.
The revision brought China’s GDP for 2013 to 58.8 trillion yuan.
