JLL is launching its first Northern Property Triathlon, to be held in Manchester’s Media City on 24 July.
The Northern Triathlon is a jointly sponsored event between JLL and Peel Holdings. Comprising a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run, individuals and relay teams will compete in the event.
The ninth national Triathlon and Property Swim will be held at Eton Dorney on 3 July. The Property Swim will be once again be a 2.2km swim along the Olympic rowing course, the full length of Dorney Lake, starting at the top end of the lake and finishing at the Boat House.
This year a new duathlon wave is being introduced, consisting of a 5km run followed by a 20km cycle and ending with a further 5km run.
JLL UK chief executive Guy Grainger said: “The triathlon gets more popular every year, with the proof being in yet another record-breaking increase in entries and money raised for this year’s event. Having raised over £1m for charity over the last eight years, the triathlon is well on its way to heading to the £2m mark, and this year’s introduction of the duathlon wave also offers those not so keen on the swimming element a chance to shine.
“The property industry is passionate about charity, health & fitness and the launch of the Northern Triathlon in Manchester this year will mean that more of our colleagues across the country will be able to participate and help to raise more vital funds for charity.”
The JLL Property Triathlon, co-ordinated by Human Race, has raised £1.2m to date for charity.
