The view in the bar in the early hours of Friday morning was that this year’s Estates Gazette Awards was the best yet.
JLL was the big winner on the night, picking up four gongs – National Property Adviser, Industrial & Distribution Adviser and Offices Adviser of the Year. The firm’s Sophie Walker picked up the Young Property Professional of the Year trophy, too.
One of the capital’s most high-profile politicians, Boris Johnson’s right-hand man Sir Edward Lister, was presented with the EG London Award.
Meanwhile, Liz Peace, former chief executive of the British Property Federation, won the Outstanding Contribution to Property Award for 12 years of lobbying, campaigning and leading from the front.
Winners in the property company categories included more smaller players this year, with Muse (National Property Company) Exemplar (Offices) and New River Retail picking up awards.
